Women Compete Against Fordham, BC and St. John's

STORRS, CT – The University of Connecticut men's and women's teams competed against Boston College, Fordham and St. John's on Saturday afternoon at the Wolff Zackin Natatorium.
The men topped Boston College, 227-61 and Fordham, 202-92, but fell behind St. John's, 155-133. Kevin McKinney and Chase Dunlap took first and second in the one meter dive and three meter dive with scores of 258.75 (one meter), 279.20 (three meter) and 245.50 (one meter), 261.95 (three meter), respectively. Other top finishers for the Huskies included Robert Folan in the 200 yard backstroke (1:55.28) and Dustin Rogers in the 100 yard butterfly (51.33). In addition, the 400 yard freestyle relay team placed first, finishing in a time of 3:10.71.
The women edged out all three opponents, scoring 177, 159 and 209 against Boston College (123), Fordham (141) and St. John's (85), respectively. Top race finishers for UConn included Lindsay Hansen in the 500 yard freestyle (5:06.88) and the 1000 yard freestyle (10:20.71), Katherine Larson in the 100 yard breaststroke (1:07.94) and 200 yard breaststroke (2:25.84), Melissa Kull in the one meter dive (266.50) and three meter dive (267.80), Cathleen Novak in the 200 yard backstroke (2:06.54). In addition, the women's 400 yard freestyle relay team took first with a time of 3:35.91.
The Huskies return to action on Saturday, November 2 when they play host to Villanova at 1 p.m.
