Huskies Race Two at the Head of the Charles

BOSTON, MA (October 19) – The University of Connecticut women’s rowing team competed at the 38th annual Head of the Charles Regatta on Saturday afternoon in Boston, MA.
The Huskies placed 18th out of 38 boats in a time of 18:23.495 in the Women’s Collegiate Eight event. Lehigh placed first in a time of 17:23.549, followed by West Virginia University (17:28.489) and Louisville (17:29.554). UConn also placed 22nd out of 59 boats in a time of 18:08.591 in the Women’s Club Eight event. University of Tennessee placed first in a time of 17:07.493, while Lake Union Crew (17:08.581) and Riverside Boat Club (17:13.443) took second and third place.
UConn will compete tomorrow at the Head of the Charles in Boston, MA for second day action.
