Karen Thieling Named To The 2001 All-Regional Rowing Team

STORRS, CT- Karen Thieling (Manchester, CT) of the University of Connecticut rowing team was named to the 2001 Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association All-Regional Rowing Team. Thieling was named to the New England All- Region First Team, and is now eligible for the CRCA All- America Award which will be decided after the NCAA Championships on May 26-28.
Thieling was selected to the All-Region team based on her Varsity Eight record, having rowed in all of the team's races this season. She had an erg score of 2000 meters in a time of 7:02.6 that earned her a spot in the finals of the CRASH-B sprints in Boston in February.
