UConn Rowing Team Is Victorious

New London, CT (April 8) -- The University of Connecticut Varsity 8 and Novice 4 both came away with wins Sunday afternoon as the rowing team was in action in New London, CT.
The Novice Four finished in a time of 8.55.0 ahead of Trinity (9.07.3), while the Coast Guard came in third (9.15.37). The Varsity Eight also took top honors with a clocking of 8:02.61, the Coast Guard was second (8.12.53) followed by Mount Holyoke (8:19.42).
Both the Novice Eight and the Junior Varsity Eight claimed the third positions in their races, respectively. The Novice Eight finished behind Mount Holyoke (8:08.05) and Trinity (8:18.07) in a time of 8:23.4. The Junior Varsity Eight posted an 8:14.97, with Trinity winning the race in a time of 8:02.00 and the Coast Guard finishing second (8:11.23).
UConn will next race on Friday, April 13 in Coventry, CT, against New Hampshire.
