Women's Rowing Has a Solid Show

Miami, FL (March 24) -- The University of Connecticut women's rowing team finished its spring break southern tour at the University of Miami with Central Florida on Saturday morning in Miami, FL.
The Varsity Eight crew finished in third place (7:45.11) behind Miami in first (6:46.38) and Central Florida in second (7:03.80). The Junior Varsity Eight also placed third in a time of 7:45.11, with Miami taking the first place position (7:12.96) and Central Florida in second (7:21.00).
The Novice Four had the best finish of the day for the Huskies taking a second place finish in a time of 8:42.40. Central Florida claimed first (8:36.57) and Miami was last in a time of 8:57.75. The Novice Eight Crew also had a third place finish in a time of 7:46.87. Central was first (7:30.87) and Miami ended in second place (7:43.32).
UConn will compete in the Knect Cup in Camden, NJ on March 31, 2001.
