Huskies Race Four Boats at the Head of the Schuylkill

PHILADELPHIA, PA (October 28) – The University of Connecticut women’s rowing team raced four boats at the Head of the Schuylkill in Philadelphia, PA on Saturday and Sunday, October 27 & 28.
The Varsity Eight crew finished 15th of 41 boats in a time of 16:10.25. Tennessee captured the first place win in a time of 15:17.26. The Novice Eight crew had a 16th place finish in a time of 17:15.50 racing against 40 other teams. The US Naval Academy placed first (15:21.27). The Junior Varsity Eight boat had an 18th place (15:38.46) finish among 22 crews. Pennsylvania earned the first place win in a time of 14:17.72.
The Novice Four had a 25th place finish of 37 other crews (19:13.4), with Boston University placing first (16:29.87).
