Became 50th member of UConn’s 1,000 career point club on Jan. 10 vs. UCF... Led team in scoring in 19 games, scored 20-plus points in 12 games and hit double-figures in 27 games... Recorded an impressive 29-point, 13-rebound, 9-assists effort at Tulsa, falling one assist shy of a triple-double... Had team’s top-scoring game of the season with 31 points against Monmouth... Combined with teammate Christian Vital to form the top-scoring tandem in the AAC.
As a Sophomore in 2016-17: Led team in scoring (14.4 points), free throw percentage (82.8) and assists (6.1)... Ranked 14th nationally with 6.1 assists per game in 2016-17 season... Recorded five double-doubles during the season... Free throw percentage in conference games (.914) would have led the league had he taken enough free throws to qualify... Averaged 17 points, 4.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists in AAC Tournament. Scored 23 points, 18 in second half, vs. Houston in AAC quarterfinals... Named AAC Player of the Week on Feb. 20... Scored 9 points and dished out a game-best 3 assists in the Huskies’ 74-67 win over Colorado in the NCAA Tournament First Round (March 17).
Before College: Ranked among the nation’s Top 25 recruits by virtually every recruiting rating service... Attended Brewster Academy (Wolfeboro, N.H.) as a prep year and played under Coach Jason Smith, helping Brewster to a 34-1 record, the NEPSAC Class AAA Championship and the National Prep Championship... Was a First Team All-NEPSAC Class AAA selection and was named MVP of the NEPSAC Class AAA Tournament... Named MVP of the Jordan Brand Classic Regional Game after scoring 27 points, with 4 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals, leading his team to a 125-112 victory... Prior to his time at Brewster Academy, graduated cum laude from Cushing Academy (Ashburnham, Mass.) after attending for two years and helping Cushing win back-to-back NEPSAC championships under Coach Barry Connors...
