2023 Season: First Team All-BIG EAST. First Team ABCA All-Northeast Region. Second Team All-New England. Tied UConn single-season record with 36 appearances (Wurster, 2019). Led the team with eight wins out of the bullpen. Went 8-0 with one save and had a team-low 1.89 ERA. In 47.2 innings, struck out 60 and held opponents to a .210 batting average against. Made his UConn debut with a scoreless inning against Ohio State (2/17). Struck out both batters he faced in a comeback win vs. Cal Poly (2/24). Went 1.1 shutout innings at FAU (3/5) to help Huskies sweep the series. Struck out three in 2.0 shutout innings at Hawaii (3/11). Went 20 of 21 appearances without allowing an earned run from March 22 to May 19. The stretch went 26.2 innings, gave up just 16 hits, one earned run and 36 strikeouts. Earned first career save vs. Seton Hall (5/5) with 1.1 perfect innings. The left-hander threw a career-high 5.1 shutout innings, allowed one hit, did not walk a batter and struck out nine vs. Butler (5/11). Fired 3.0 inning of one run ball vs. Georgetown (5/24) to earn victory in BIG EAST Championship. Threw 3.2 shutout innings and struck out four vs. Texas Tech (6/2) in the NCAA Gainesville Regional.Â
