2024 Season (UConn): Appeared in 11 games out of the bullpen in his lone season in Storrs as a graduate transfer. Came back from injury on April 10 and pitched 11.1 innings, struck out 11 and held opponents to a .256 batting average against. Made his UConn debut vs. Maine (4/10). Pitched 1.0 inning and struck out a pair vs. St. John's (4/13). Pitched a season-high 3.0 innings at Boston College (4/17). Struck out a season-high three batters in 2.0 shutout innings at Butler (5/17). Logged 1.2 innings at No. 9 Oklahoma (6/2) in the NCAA Norman Regional. Struck out the only batter he faced at No. 8 Florida State (6/8) in the NCAA Super Regionals.

2023 (Oswego State):ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Second Team. d3baseball.com All-Region Third Team. Named Don Axel SUNYAC Pitcher of the Year. All-SUNYAC First Team. Made 12 starts on the mound in 2023. Went 6-4 with a 3.07 ERA. Logged 70.1 innings with 72 strikeouts and just 12 walks.

2022 (Oswego State): ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Second Team. d3baseball.com All-Region Second Team. All-SUNYAC First Team. Started all 13 games he appeared in, Finnegan posted a 2.97 ERA in 75.2 IP. He allowed 25 ER, while striking out 59 batters and walking 17.
