2019Ā Season: 3rd Round pick by the Colorado Rockies in the 2019 MLB Draft. Named First Team All-American by ABCA/Rawlings, College Baseball Foundation, Baseball America, D1Baseball.com and NCBWA. Second Team Collegiate Baseball All-American. First Team All-Conference. First Team All-New England. One of five pitchers up for National Pitcher of the Year and was a finalistĀ for NCBWA Stopper of the Year Award, given to the top reliever in college baseball. NCAA Oklahoma City All-Tournament Team. American Athletic Conference All-Tournament Team. Recorded fifth-lowest ERA in program history with a 0.64 ERA in 42.0 innings pitched. Tied single-season save record at UConn (P.J. Poulin) by notching 16 saves in 2019. Went 3-1 in 30 appearances, allowed just three earned runs, walked 10 and struck out 68 while holding batters to a .140 Avg. against. Did not allow a hit and struck out four in 3.1 scoreless innings against No. 4 Louisville to notch a pair of saves on opening weekend. After allowing a run against No. 25 Illinois (3/3), did not allow a run over next 18 innings (11 appearances). Earned victory out of the pen after tossing 3.2 scoreless innings at Texas State (3/9). Struck out six in 3.0 innings of work to pick up win at UCF (3/30). Ā Did not allow a run in final 12 appearances to close out career. Struck out all seven batters he faced to close out No. 9 Oklahoma State (6/2) to send Huskies to winner-take-all Regional Final. Followed it up the next night with five strikeouts in 2.2 perfect frames against No. 9 Oklahoma State.
2018 Summer: Co-Recipient of the Cape Cod League Baseball John Claffey New England Top Prospect Award... Appeared in 12 games for the Bourne Braves in the Cape Cod Baseball League⦠Did not allow a run in 13.2 innings⦠Posted 25 strikeouts and six saves⦠Earned a spot on the CCBL All-Star team⦠Recorded the final two outs with strikeouts to earn the save in the CCBL All-Star Game.

2017 Summer: Was a Futures Collegiate Baseball League All-Star playing for the Bristol Blues in 2017ā¦Pitched in 14 games and made one startā¦Recorded a 1.80 ERA in 20 innings, struck out 25 and notched two savesā¦Did not allow a run in 12 appearances out of the penā¦Started and pitched 6.0 innings at North Shore (6/22)ā¦Struck out all four batters he faced to lock down save against Pittsfield (6/30).
2017 Season: Appeared in 13 games out of the bullpen during his freshman seasonā¦Went 0-1 with a 6.00 ERAā¦Logged 12.0 innings and notched 12 strikeoutsā¦Made UConn debut against UMass Lowell (2/18) and pitched a career-high 2.0 inningsā¦Recorded career-high in strikeouts (3) at Seton Hall (3/26) in 1.1 inning performance.
2016 Summer: Pitched for the Bristol Blues in the Futures Collegiate Baseball League...Appeared in eight games, including one start...logged 17 innings and struck out 17 for the Blues. Earned a save against Wachusett on July 18, pitching two innings of scoreless ball...pitched a season-high 4.2 innings against Pittsfield on July 10.
High School: Earned varsity letters three years at Methuen High School under Coach Eric Cyr...Selected for the All-Conference team twice...Named a team captain his senior year...Helped his team win the Junior Legion State Championship in 2014...Named MVP of the Lawrence Tournament...Recorded a career 15-8 record over 171 innings pitched with 217 strikeouts and a 0.73 ERA...Also ran indoor track (four years) and cross country (three years)...Was team captain of indoor track team his senior year.
