2025 Season: 13th Round Pick by the Cincinnati Reds in the 2025 MLB Draft. Second Team ABCA All-Northeast Region. Second Team All-BIG EAST. Tri-Captain. Finishes his career second in program history with 92 appearances. Tied for 8th with 17 career saves. Lowest batting average against in program history at .211. Totaled 107.1 innings and struck out 130 batters. Had his best season in his final year in Storrs with a career-low 2.45 ERA in 36.2 innings. Collected nine saves and earned two wins as the closer. In 22 appearances, held opponents to a .217 batting average against and recorded 53 strikeouts. Earned the win with 3.0 hitless frames and four strikeouts at FAU (2/23). Closed out No. 14 Vanderbilt (3/2) with 2.0 shutout innings. Notched first save of the year with 2.0 inning save at Campbell (3/14). Threw 1.1 scoreless innings at No. 17 North Carolina to lock down the save. Combined for 2.2 shutout innings and six strikeouts in back-to-back saves at UNC Greensboro (3/21-3/22). Fired 2.2 shutout innings at Xavier (3/29). Pitched a season-high 3.0 innings with season-high six strikeouts vs. Xavier (5/21) in BIG EAST Tournament.Â
2024 Season: First Team All-BIG EAST. Second Team ABCA All-Northeast. Appeared in 22 games out of the UConn bullpen and ranked second in the BIG EAST with eight saves. in 25.1 innings, struck out 27 and ranked fifth in the BIG EAST with a 2.49 ERA that led the Huskies pitching staff. Posted a team-low .186 batting average against and earned two victories out of the pen. Did not allow a run in his first 10 outings of the season that spanned 9.0 innings. Struck out the side at USF (2/16) on Opening Day to log first save of the year. Pitched 1.1 innings and struck out three to earn save at No. 23 Auburn. Fired scoreless frame to close out win at No. 19 UC Irvine (3/13). Pitched 2.0 scoreless inning without allowing a hit at Cal Baptist (3/17). Struck out a pair in 1.0 inning to collect save vs. Xavier (4/7). Struck out a season-high four batters in 2.0 innings of work vs. St. John's (4/14). Earned saves on back-to-back days at Georgetown (4/20-21). Grabbed victory out of the pen with 1.2 innings with zero earned runs vs. Villanova (4/28). Secured saves on back-to-back days at Seton Hall (5/3-4). Earned eighth save of the season with a shutout inning in the NCAA Norman Regional at No. 9 Oklahoma (6/1). Pitched a career-high 3.2 innings at No. 8 Florida State in the NCAA Super Regionals.Â
2023 Season: Appeared n 26 games out of the bullpen. Notched a 3.91 ERA in 25.1 innings, struck out 23 batters while holding opponents to a .205 batting average against. Rattled off seven appearances without allowing a run from Feb 19 - March 19. The stretch covered seven innings and featured one walk and six strikeouts. Stranded the tying run in scoring position in the seventh inning vs. Rutgers (3/26). Tied a season-high with 2.0 scoreless innings and season-high three strikeouts vs. UMBC (3/31). Pitched a scoreless frame in the first game of doubleheader at St. John's (4/8). Notched a scoreless inning of work at No. 20 Boston College (4/19). Struck out a pair in a perfect inning of work vs. Rhode Island (4/24). Followed up that performance with a 1-2-3 inning vs. Seton Hall (5/7). Retired all six batters that he faced to clinch a BIG EAST regular season title at Creighton (5/20). Pitched a scoreless frame against Georgetown (5/26) in the BIG EAST Championship.Â
2022 Season: Appeared in 22 games out of the bullpen for the Huskies. Posted a 3.60 ERA in 20.0 innings, walked nine and struck out 27 while holding batter's to a .237 AVG. Made first career appearance against Charlotte (2/19). First four outings were scoreless (3.1 IP) with just two hits, one walk and six punch outs. Came out of the pen and stranded the bases loaded at UCSD (3/21) with back-to-back strikeouts. Pitched a career-high 2.0 shutout innings against Villanova to secure a series win (4/24). Followed up that performance with 1.2 shutout frames at Northeastern (4/26) with three strikeouts. Pitched 1.1 scoreless frames against No. 2 Stanford in Game 3 of the Super Regionals (6/13) with three strikeouts and just one base runner allowed. 15 of his 22 outings he did not allow a run. Stranded 11 of 14 inherited runners.Â
Before UConn: Lettered four years for head coach Cody Dube at Windham High School in Windham, Maine. Maine Gatorade Player of the Year. USA Today Player of the Year in Maine. First Team All-SMAA pitcher and catcher. Named 2021 Mr. Baseball in Maine for being the top senior baseball player in the state. Also awarded the John Winkin Award.Â
