Huskies Host Bryant To Open Home Slate

STORRS, Conn. - UConn Volleyball is set to host Bryant for its home opener on Tuesday at the UConn Volleyball Center. First serve is set for 6 p.m.
UConn is coming off a 2-1 weekend at the Dolphin Volleyball Classic in Jacksonville, Florida. The Huskies defeated Coastal Carolina, 3-2, to earn their first win of the 2026 season. Freshman setter Isabella Sohl reached a milestone in the victory, recording her 100th assist of the season, while finishing with 34 assists, 10 digs and two service aces.ย
UConn then fell to Florida A&M, 3-2, in a close five-set battle, with Sydney Borowy leading the Huskies with 16 kills.ย
UConn closed out the weekend with a 3-0 sweep of Jacksonville to earn its second win of the season.
The Huskies hold a 4-0 advantage in the all-time series against Bryant. The programs first met in 2014, when UConn earned a 3-1 victory, followed by another 3-1 win in 2015. The Huskies swept the Bulldogs in 2021 before securing a five-set victory in their most recent regular-season meeting. Last season, the teams met in an exhibition match in Storrs.ย
The Bulldogs are coming off a weekend at the Ocean State Cup, where they earned wins over Rhode Island (3-0) and Brown (3-1), while falling to Providence, 3-1.
