CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The UConn women's soccer team (2-1-3) remains on the road for a Sunday, Sept. 20 match up against Harvard at 1 p.m. The game can be streamed on ESPN+.
The Huskies look to carry momentum from last Sunday's result at No. 8 West Virginia with UConn coming back to earn a 1-1 draw.ย
Sunday's contest will be the last road non-conference game of the regular season and it comes against Harvard. The Crimson are 5-2-1 on the season with a pair of common opponents with the Huskies. Harvard lost to Stony Brook to open the season and defeated Boston University. Harvard has won four matches in a row and in the midst of a six-match unbeaten streak that included a 6-4 win at No. 6 Alabama.ย
Harvard is 22nd in the country in scoring offense (2.88) and lead the entire country with 10.80 corner kicks per game. Olof Kristinsdottir is 26th in the country with six goals on the year while Brooke Huleatt is right behind her with five goals on the year.ย
Maeve Staunton leads the Huskies with three goals on the season with all three coming in the last two matches.ย
Lily Onorato and Ava Yamas split time in goal in the 1-1 draw at No. 8 West Virginia with Yamas making three saves in the second half to earn the result.
The Huskies are 22-5-1 all-time against Harvard with the last meeting occuring in Cambridge in 2023. Harvard has won the two previous meetings with the last win for UConn coming in 2016.
