UConn Holds Off Seton Hall for 4-3 Victory

STORRS, Connecticut – The UConn women's tennis team battled to a 4-3 victory over Seton Hall in a tightly contested match.
The Huskies opened strong in doubles play, securing the early point with wins on two of the three courts. The pairing of Lomans and Platenikova earned a 6-2 victory, while Matos and McLeod followed with a 6-1 win at to give UConn the early advantage.
Seton Hall responded in singles play, but the Huskies were able to hold their ground in a back-and-forth battle. Cameron Didion delivered a dominant performance, winning in straight sets (6-2, 6-2), while Ela Lomans picked up a hard-fought three-set victory at No. 2 (2-6, 6-2, 6-4).
Isabella Asenov secured the clinching point for UConn at No. 6 singles, bouncing back after dropping the first set to win in three (4-6, 6-3, 6-3).
Seton Hall earned singles wins but UConn's early doubles point proved to be the difference as the Huskies held on for the victory.
