Tia Chan Named Goaltender of the Year Semifinalist

STORRS, Conn. – UConn veteran goaltender Tia Chan has been named a semifinalist for the HCA Women's Hockey Goalie of the Year Award for the second consecutive season. Chan is one of 12 total semifinalists for the award.
This season, Chan has posted a 20-6-2 record for the Huskies, the second most wins in NCAA Division I women's hockey in 2025-26. The Hamilton, Ontario native has made 857 saves, while recording a .950 save percentage, leading all Hockey East goaltenders and ranking second nationally. Chan has also notched four shutouts this year, the most in the conference. She currently ranks seventh nationally in goals against average (1.607).
The Women's Hockey Commissioners Association will announce three finalists at the end of February and will later name the winner during the NCAA Frozen Four (March 20-22).
