Track & Field Heads to Penn State for Sykes & Sabock Challenge

STORRS, Conn.- UConn track and field will head down to University Park, Pennsylvania this weekend, competing at the Sykes & Sabock Challenge hosted by Penn State.
The Huskies posted strong performances last weekend at the Terrier Classic and Harvard Invitational, breaking two school records and setting five new program all-time 10 marks.
Dar Jankovic was named BIG EAST Men's Field Athlete of the Week after winning the heptathlon with 5,061 points. Jankovic won the high jump (2.05m) and pole vault (4.30m) competition at Harvard.
Medwin Odammten broke his own 60m school record in Cambridge, running 6.61 to win the event. Peyton Butler, TJ Jaravaza, Del Lindsay, and OJ Singletary broke the school record in the 4x400m with a time of 3:10.07.
At the Terrier Classic in Boston, Rachel Mason tied the second-best mark in program history in the pole vault at 3.91m. Brooke Strauss ran the fourth-fastest mile time in program history at 4:40.74. Strauss cracked the top 10 at Harvard in the 1000m with a time of 2:50.27.
The track events begin at 10:30 am, and the field events kick off at 11:00 am.
