Huskies Take on Nemacolin Collegiate Invite

STORRS, CT – The UConn men's golf team jumps back in action on Monday, October 5 taking part in the Nemacolin Collegiate Invitational hosted by West Virginia at the Mystic Rock Golf Course at Nemacolin Resort.
The par 72 ,7.526 yard course in Farmington, PA will host the two-day, 54-hole event on Monday and Tuesday. Two rounds will play out on Monday and a final round on Tuesday. Play will begin at 8:30 am on both days with live results available on Scoreboard by Clippd.
The Huskies are joined in the field by the host Mountaineers as well as Campbell, Delaware, Drexel, Eastern Michigan, George Mason, Geoge Washington, Murray State, Rider, Robert Morris, Saint Joseph's, St. John's, Seton Hall, Towson and William & Mary. Auburn will compete with individuals only.
UConn is coming off their own home tournament, the UConn Invitational at GreatHorse last week. The Huskies finished ninth in the 14 team field.
Fifth year Justin Burroughs (Pensacola, FL) had his best day as a Husky recording a top-10 finish. Burroughs tied for ninth place on the leaderboard, shooting a two-round score of 147 (+3). On Sunday he shot a 74 and followed with a 73 on Tuesday.
He will lead the lineup this week that will be filled out by junior Kai-Jun Huang (Taipei, Taiwan), freshman Yves Koller (Zurich, Switzerland), junior Matt Costello (Taunton, MA) and sophomore Brennan Korn (Jupitar, FL).
Follow this week's event, the Huskies will next head to the Moraine Intercollegiate in Dayton OH next week.
