» The Huskies return to home for their first game of 2026 at the Toscano Family Ice
Forum as they welcome the University of Vermont for a weekend series. Game one is set
for a 7pm puck drop on ESPN+ while game two is set for a 4pm puck drop on NESN.
» UConn is coming off a weekend split vs. UMass Lowell. The weekend saw the Huskies
score a total of 8 goals.
» Huskies top of the standings. UConn currently sits in 1st place in Hockey East with 25
points in 13 games played, followed by Boston College (21pts in 10games) and Boston
University (20 points in 13 games).
» Mike Richter Watchlist: Senior Goaltender has been named to the Mike Richter Award
Watchlist. Muszelik is 11-4-3 this season with a .931 Save % and 2.13 GAA.
» Kaden Shahan continues to be one of the Huskies best offensive weapons as of late. The
Sophomore leads the Huskies with seven goals and 10 assists for 17 total points. Kaden
is coming off a two-goal performance in the 5-1 win over UMass Lowell.
» Joey Muldowney has found his offensive fire power of late, scoring three goals in two
games. Additionally, the junior is riding a six-game point streak.
» Hockey Humanitarian: Over the holiday break, senior Ryan Tattle hosted his 5th annual
Score for Cancer game. Following the completion of the game Sat. Dec. 20, Tattle has
raised over $180,000 for Cancer Research.
» Welcoming another member to the Ice Bus: Over the break, the Huskies announced the
signing of Carter Sproule from the Watertown Shamrocks (NAHL). The incoming fresh-
man led his team with 10 goals and 20 assists for 30 total points. Sproule finished his
career with the Shamrocks with 22 goals and 48 assists.
» Huskies in the NHL: Marc Gatcomb has become the 9th Husky to reach the pros, having most recently been called up by the New York Islanders. Gatcomb joins, Chase
Bradley, Ruslan Iskhakov, Yan Kuznetsov, Todd Krygier, Cole Schneider, Max Letunov,
Adam Huska, and Tage Thompson as former Huskies to make it to the league.
