LAS VEGAS – The NBA 2K26 Summer League concluded on July 20 and several former Huskies stood out, headlined by 2025 first round pick Liam McNeeley helping the Charlotte Hornets to the summer league title. Below is a full breakdown of all former UConn men's basketball standouts who took part in Summer League.
Liam McNeeley (Charlotte Hornets)
- Averaged 18.0 points, 8.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game in two games
- Opened the Summer League with a 22-point, 12-rebound double-double on July 11 against the Jazz, adding six assists
- Scored 14 points and grabbed five rebounds against the Sixers on July 12
- Charlotte went 6-0 in Las Vegas to win the Summer League championship
- Was named one of the top three rookies in Vegas by ESPN.com
Cam Spencer (Memphis Grizzlies)
- Played in six games across the Utah and Vegas series
- Averaged 20.4 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.8 assists
- Shot 46.5 percent from 3-point range and hit 3.3 triples per contest
- Signed a multi-year extension with Memphis during Summer League play
- Had 14 points, five rebounds and five assists in the Utah opener vs. OKC on July 5
- Scored 23 points and was 7-10 from 3-point range on July 6 vs. the Jazz
- Dropped 17 with four rebounds and four assists on July 12 against the Blazers
- Tied his Summer League-high with 23 points and went 8-9 from the line vs. Golden State on July 15
Tristen Newton (Minnesota Timberwolves)
- Saw time in five contests for the T'Wolves and helped them to a 4-1 record in Vegas
- Averaged 9.2 points, 3.8 assists and 2.8 rebounds in 21.0 minutes per game
- Shot 47.6 percent from 3-point range with 2.0 makes per game
- Posted 12 points and three assists in 19 minutes vs. the Nuggets on July 12
- Had nine points and a hit a game-winning go-ahead 3-pointer vs. the Suns on July 16
- Exploded for 24 points with 10 assists, five rebounds and three steals against the Rockets on July 19
James Bouknight (Portland Trail Blazers)
- Started all five contests for Portland and helped the Blazers go 3-2
- Averaged 12.6 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 19.1 minutes per game
- Posted a 64.5 / 52.6/ 81.3 shooting line and totaled five blocks and five steals
- Narrowly missed a double-doubler with 11 points and nine rebounds on July 11 vs. Golden State
- Recorded 15 points and dished out four assists vs. Memphis on July 12
- Poured in 25 points on 8-of-11 shooting and went 6-of-8 from 3-point range vs. the Rockets on July 17
Andre Jackson Jr. (Milwaukee Bucks)
- Started in all four of Milwaukee's games he appeared in Las Vegas
- Averaged 5.5 points, 3.8 assists and 3.5 rebounds in 21.2 minutes per game
- Shot 50.0 percent from the floor and was 4-of-6 from 3-point range
- Scored nine points and dished out six assists on July 13 vs. the Clippers
Adama Sanogo (Utah Jazz)
- Appeared in seven games for the Jazz over the Utah and Vegas series
- Averaged 4.0 points and 5.0 rebounds in 13.9 minutes per game
- Went 12-of-14 (85.7 percent) from the field across seven outings
- Scored nine points and grabbed seven rebounds vs. OKC on July 8
- Had eight points and eight boards agains the Hornets on July 11
- Snared nine rebounds in his lone start of the Summer vs. the Wizards on July 16
Samson Johnson (Indiana Pacers)
- Played in two games for Indiana in Vegas, totaling 16 minutes of action
- Scored his first points, had three rebounds and a block against the Knicks on July 17
- Made two buckets and scored four points in six minutes on July 18 vs. New Orleans
Kemba Walker was on the staff of the title-winning Hornets as an assistant coach. Mike Noyes was the head coach for the Spurs in the Summer League, finishing with a 4-1 record.
