Huskies Set for NCAA Track & Field East First Round Regional

STORRS, Conn.- UConn men's and women's track and field continue their postseason after a dominant dual performance at the BIG EAST Championships, defending their respective crowns in Storrs two weeks ago.
This week, 11 members of the UConn men's team and 8 members of the UConn women's team will take the stage at the 2025 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field East First Round Competition in Jacksonville, Florida, hosted by the University of North Florida at Hodges Stadium. Three Huskies have already punched their tickets to the NCAA Track & Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon, with Josh Mooney (Stonington, Conn.) and Diarmuid O'Connor (Cork, Ireland) qualifying in the decathlon, and Maresa Hense (Germany) securing her spot in the heptathlon.
The top 12 competitors from each individual event will advance to the championships in Eugene. The list of qualifiers from each event contested in the first rounds will be announced by 5 p.m. ET on Sunday, June 1. The final list of the championship competition participants will be announced by 3 p.m. ET on Tuesday, June 3.
The East First Round Competition lasts four days, beginning on Wednesday, May 28th and concluding on Saturday, May 31st. Listed below is a comprehensive guide on the dates and times that each Husky will be competing.
