No. 5 UConn, No. 22 Creighton to Battle in XL Center Finale

STORRS, Conn. – The fifth-ranked UConn women's basketball team (26-3, 16-0 BIG EAST) hosts No. 22 Creighton (23-4, 15-1) in the Huskies' final XL Center game of the season on Thursday at 7 p.m. The game will air on CBS Sports Network and the UConn Sports Network from Learfield (FOX Sports 97-9).
Thursday's game is sold out.
The Huskies can earn the 2024-25 BIG EAST regular season championship outright with a win over the Bluejays.
One thousand fans at Wednesday's game will win a Geno Auriemma or Chris Dailey bobblehead! A limited number of scratch-off tickets will be available at the marketing table at the top of Section 124. Fans should arrive early to get a scratch-off and see if they're a winner.
In celebration of National Girls & Women in Sports Day, fans are encouraged to wear their favorite UConn or pro Husky jersey to Thursday's game.
UConn beat Butler, 86-47, last Saturday in the team's final road game of the regular season. Redshirt senior Paige Bueckers notched her second double-double of the season with 23 points and 10 assists. Redshirt junior Caroline Ducharme made her season debut in the final minutes of the game. It was Ducharme's first appearance since Nov. 19, 2023.
UConn is 10-0 all-time vs. Creighton. The teams last played on Jan. 25 in Omaha, a 72-61 win for the Huskies. Freshman Sarah Strong led UConn with 26 points, 12 rebounds, four blocks and five steals in the game.
Creighton is coming off an 83-74 win over DePaul last Sunday. This season, Lauren Jensen leads the Bluejays with 18.3 points per game. Head coach Jim Flanery is in his 23rd season at Creighton.
