STORRS, Conn. – The UConn men's soccer team (9-3-4) heads to No. 21 Seton Hall for the regular season finale on Friday, November 7. Kickoff is set for 7:00pm and will be streamed on ESPN+.
UConn and Seton Hall currently sit in a four-way tie for third place in the BIG EAST standings with 13 points, setting up a dramatic finish to the regular season. The top four teams will secure spots in the 2025 BIG EAST Tournament, consisting of the two division champions and the next two teams with the highest point totals. FULL STANDINGS
Coming into Friday, the Huskies are unbeaten in their last three games, all against BIG EAST opponents. In those three games, UConn has kept their opponents scoreless, their longest stretch of clean sheets this season. Redshirt-sophomore Kyle Durham has anchored the Huskies back line this season, leading UConn to eight clean sheets this season. Durham leads the conference goalkeepers in total saves (76), save percentage (0.835), and saves per game (4.75).
A Look at Seton Hall
The Seton Hall Pirates (7-2-7) are unbeaten in eight straight matches, dating back to late September, propelling the Pirates into the national rankings for the last two consecutive weeks. Seton Hall is coached by Andreas Lindberg entering his 10th season. The Pirates were selected to finish in fifth place in the East Division in the BIG EAST Preseason Coaches' Poll. Seton Hall has a veteran back line, led by senior goalkeeper Matias Molina. The Pirates rank third in the conference in goal against average at goals against average (0.75) and shutouts (8).
Series History
The Huskies and Pirates played to a scoreless draw a season ago at Morrone Stadium. Since rejoining the BIG EAST Conference, UConn and Seton Hall have played six highly contested matches, resulting in two scoreless draws, three 1-0 contests, and one game decided by two goals. The Pirates lead the all-time series, 16-15-5.
