Huskies Set For Final Competition of Fall Semester

STORRS, Conn.—UConn women's tennis concludes their fall competition this weekend, hosting the Husky Invite Tournament from Friday to Sunday in Storrs. The Huskies will welcome UMass, Niagara, and New Haven.
At last week's New England Regional Championships hosted by Harvard, Chloe Lomans won the opening singles match, taking down Madara Markevica of UMass in straight sets (6-2, 6-2).
The doubles team of Ela Platenikova and Victoria Matos won their matchup over Dartmouth (8-4). Lomans and Madison McLeod also won their doubles match against Fairfield by a score of 8-3. Platenikova took care of business in her singles match, defeating Syracuse's Monika Wojcik in straight sets (6-4, 6-0).
Following the conclusion of the fall season, the Huskies will turn their attention to competition season which will begin in spring semester.
