No. 10 Huskies Set for Weekend Series Against Northeastern

STORRS, Conn. – The No. 10 ranked UConn women's hockey team is set for a home-and-home series against the Northeastern Huskies in a rematch of last year's Hockey East Tournament Championship game. The series will start on Friday, November 8 at the Toscano Family Ice Forum. Tickets are available HERE.
UConn (6-4) is coming into the weekend unblemished in Hockey East with a perfect 5-0 record. The Huskies have been led by freshman forward Claire Murdoch (Toronto, Ontario) who has a team high eight points this season. Murdoch has five goals so far this season, ranking third in Hockey East in goals per game (0.50).
UConn's goaltenders Tia Chan (Hamilton, Ontario), and Megan Warrener (Stoney Creek, Ontario) rank atop the conference in save percentage and goal against average. Warrener has made 129 saves in five starts while Chan has made 124 saves in her five starts.
Scouting Northeastern:
The Northeastern Huskies (5-5-1) are coming off a weekend split against New Hampshire. The Huskies are 3-3-1 in Hockey East, as they currently sit in third place on 11 points behind second place UConn on 14 points. Northeastern is coached by Dave Flint in his 16th season. The Huskies are led by a pair of forwards in senior Skylar Irving with 12 points and freshman Eloise Caron with 11 points this season. Northeastern leads the all-time series 45-21-13.
Puck drop is set for 6:00pm on Friday in Storrs and 1:30pm on Saturday in Boston, Mass. Friday's game will be streamed on ESPN+ and Saturday will be broadcast on NESN.
