WSOC Seeking BIG EAST Championship Berth on Senior Day

STORRS, Conn. - The UConn women's soccer team (9-4-4, 3-3-3 BIG EAST) celebrate Senior Day against Seton Hall during its regular season finale on Sunday, October 27 at 1 p.m.
The Huskies will honor nine seniors; MaryKate Ward, Anna Carson, Sophie McCarthy, Maddie Fried, Kelly Monaco, Laci Lewis, Abbey Jones, Yasmin Rosewell and Joyce Ryder. UConn will also recognize its three fifth year seniors Kaitlyn Mahoney, Chloe Landers and Lucy Cappadona, a trio that will play their final regular season match at Morrone Stadium.
On the pitch, UConn is playing for a spot in the six-team BIG EAST Championship, with the Huskies currently sitting in fifth place with 12 points. UConn can clinch a spot with a victory and any other result would force the Huskies to wait until Halloween to see the results of the final match day in BIG EAST play.Â
The Huskies also have an opportunity to secure their 10th victory of the season. A victory would make it back-to-back seasons with double digit wins for the Huskies. The first time accomplishing that feat since 2015-2016.Â
