UConn Set to Face Xavier and Butler this Weekend

STORRS, Conn. - The University of Connecticut women's tennis team is set to face two Big East matchups on the road this weekend going up against Xavier and Butler on Friday, April 7 and Saturday, April 8.
The Huskies stand at 8-8 overall and 2-3 in the Big East Conference. Last weekend, UConn split the weekend taking a 4-1 win over Villanova on Saturday and then dropping a 4-3 setback to Georgetown on Sunday.
Last time out, Maria Constantinou and Aleksandra Karamyshev went 2-0 in singles play at the one and two spot winning in straight sets against Villanova and Georgetown.
Scouting the Musketeers
Heading into the matchup, Xavier is 9-7 overall and 1-0 in conference play. Last Saturday, the Musketeers fell 5-2 against Wichita State. Last match, Imani Graham and Kat Lyman both won their matches at first and second singles. Graham and Lyman won in three sets as Graham won 6-1, 2-6, 6-2 and Lyman pulled out a third set tiebreak going 2-6, 6-2, 7-6 (7-1).
Scouting the Bulldogs
Entering the matchup, Butler is 9-10 overall and 3-1 in conference action. Last Sunday, the Bulldogs shutout Saint Louis 7-0. As of Mar. 27, first singles player, Natalie Boesing posts an 11-6 singles record this season.
First serve on Friday against Xavier is at 1 p.m. EST and first serve on Saturday against Butler is at 10 a.m. EST.
