Softball set for series with DePaul

Storrs, CT – UConn welcomes DePaul for a three game home stand this weekend. The Huskies (15-11) currently sit in first place in the BIG EAST standings with a 5-1 record in conference play.
UConn is coming off their first midweek win of the season against Army. UConn's offense has been clicking on all cylinders scoring 26 runs in their last four games. The Huskies are led by a pair of Seniors in Briana Marcelino and Sami Barnett. The two have combined for 56 hits, 35 runs scored, and six homers this season.
DePaul (11-14) currently holds a 1-2 record in conference play this season. They are led by Junior Brooke Johnson who has six homers, with 22 runs batted in on the season.
The first game of the series will be Friday at 3:00pm. On Saturday, the 1993 College World Series team will be honored before the game. Game time is set for 1:00pm. The Huskies will close out the series on Sunday at 11:00am.
