Softball falls to Georgetown in game two 7-5

Washington, DC – Huskies late game heroics not enough to edge Georgetown.
Marybeth Olson got the nod in game 2 for the Huskies. She pitched two innings only giving up one run and struck out four.
The Hoyas would open the scoring with a solo homer giving them a 1-0 lead in the third.
Elise Sokolsky came in relief for Olson. She pitched 2.1 innings, with three strikeouts.
The Hoyas would extend their lead to 5-0 in the fifth. The Huskies would quickly respond in the sixth off the bat of Jana Sanden. She hit a two run homer to right center to trim the deficit to 5-2.
Delaney Nagy came in relief for Sokolsky in the fifth. She went on to pitch 1.2 innings striking out two.
This Huskies rallied in the seventh to tie the game at five. Reese Guevarra delivered a huge three run homer to put the Huskies back in it.
The Hoyas responded in the bottom half the seventh with a walk off homer to end it.
UConn will look to bounce back and win the series tomorrow at 12:00pm.
