Huskies Set For Top 15 Showdown Vs. Boston University

STORRS, Conn. - Â The UConn men's ice hockey team is set for a two game road series with No. 9 Boston University Friday October 21 and Saturday October 22. Both games can be streamed on ESPN+ with puck drop at 7pm.
No. 14 UConn enters the matchup with Boston University posting a 5-0-1 overall record and a 2-0 record in Hockey East action. The 5-0-1 start for the Huskies is the best start in program history. The success of the Huskies has not gone unnoticed as their appearance at 14 in the national polls is the highest ranking the program has received.
UConn is coming off a 1-0-1 weekend against no.11 Ohio State. The Huskies and sophomore goaltender Logan Terness weathered a Buckeyes attack in the opening game of the series, holding Ohio State scoreless and stopping all 43 shots faced. The Huskies would come out in game two and overpower the Buckeye's on their way to a 6-1 victory.
No. 9 Boston University enters the matchup vs. UConn posting a 2-1-0 overall record. The terriers are coming off a 1-1 weekend in which they lost to Michigan and then followed that up with a 3-2 win over the wolverines.
Boston University leads the all-time series verse the Huskies 12-8-2. The last time these two teams met was last season in the Hockey East quarterfinals. That game resulted in a 3-1 victory for UConn and pushed the Huskies to their first appearance at the TD Garden for the Hockey East semifinals.
Both games against Boston University will begin at 7pm and can be streamed on ESPN+.
