Dallahan Records Another Top 15 Finish

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – UConn junior Tommy Dallahan shot two rounds of par-or-better to finish in 12th place, leading the UConn contingent at The Carolina Cup, which finished on Tuesday at Carolina Country Club.
It was the second straight Top 15 finish for Dallahan (Simsbury, Conn.), who finished 15th at last week's UConn Invitational. In Carolina, Dallahan's 1-under, 72-73-70=215 hiked his career total of par-or-better rounds to 21. The result was the 10th Top 20 finish of Dallahan's career.
UConn finished seventh in the 14-team tourney with a 22-over, 285-297-304=886. UAB (844) won the team championship.
Also for the Huskies, grad student Jared Nelson (Rutland, Vt.) came in tied for 31st in the 90-player field with a 5-over, 64-81-76=221, which included his 24th career sub-70 round.
Junior Jimmy Paradise (Tampa, Fla.) and sophomore Trevor Lopez (Winchester, Mass.) were part of a tie for 50th place with a 12-over, 76-70-82=228 and a 12-over, 73-76-79=228, respectively. Sophomore Eric Boulger (Walpole, Mass.) shot a 31-over, 90-78-79=247. Playing as an individual, freshman Connor Goode (Glastonbury, Conn.) had a 32-over, 83-79-86=248.
UConn will wrap up the fall position of its 2022-23 season on Oct. 28-30, making its annual trip to Maui, Hawaii, to compete in the Ka'anapali Classic Collegiate Invitational on the Royal Ka'anapali Golf Course.
