UConn will travel to take on ECU

STORRS, Conn.—The UConn (16-27, 4-11 AAC) softball team will travel to Greenville, North Carolina to take on ECU (21-26, 3-11 AAC) in their final American Athletic Conference road series of the 2019 season.

The Huskies recently emerged from another conference series versus the Bulls of USF. Through several tightly contested games, USF retained their No. 1 spot in the conference with a sweep of UConn. Prior to take series the Huskies faced the Blue Devils in a single non-conference contest, downing them 6-0.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
The Pirates are the No. 8 team in the conference a pair of spots behind the Huskies. ECU is led by Head Coach Courtney Oliver who is in her fourth season at the helm, as the fifth head coach in Pirate history. Her 2019 squad is fairly well balanced in terms of experience with eight upperclassmen compared to underclassmen, with seven sophomores being her largest class.
