Huskies Head to Memphis for American Championship

STORRS, Conn. – The UConn women's cross country team heads to Memphis, Tennessee for the American Athletic Conference Championship race on Friday, November 1st. The race will start at 11:50 a.m. (ET) at Shelby Farms Park.
Last Time Out
The Huskies head into the conference championship after taking fourth place at the Princeton Invitational on October 19th. Junior Mia Nahom was the Huskies' top finisher at Princeton, finishing second overall with a time of 21:15. Freshman Randi Burr finished second for the Huskies and 15th overall, coming in at 21:48. Rounding out the top three for UConn was senior Danielle Jordan, who finished 28th overall with a time of 22:18.
Ready for Conference
The Princeton Invite was an important step in the right direction for the Huskies. After almost two weeks since its last meet, UConn is looking forward to the challenge ahead. Head Coach Lindsay Crevoiserat said, "The team is ready for conference and the pieces are coming together. I think it's going to be a good day for us."
Crevoiserat was pleased with the improvements the team has made over the last few weeks. "We have Mia up front who has been consistently up front and running great as our leader," she said. "Randi Burr and Danielle Jordan both have been showing more confidence each race and are ready to do something big."
"We have a very young and solid group that really just gets better and better each race as they put more mileage on. I know the team is pretty excited to see what they can do which shows me that they are ready mentally and physically."
