STORRS, Conn. – The UConn men's basketball team (9-6, 0-2) continues American Athletic Conference action with a Thursday night clash against SMU. The contest is scheduled for a 7 p.m. tip time, and will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network.

Opponent and Series History…
- SMU leads the all-time series against the Huskies, 9-3. UConn defeated SMU in the only regular season tilt between the two squads, but fell to SMU in the first round of the AAC Tournament.
- SMU (10-4, 2-0) is coming off a 74-65 win at Tulane last Friday. The Mustangs have won four straight games and eight of their last nine.
- The top scorers for SMU are Jahmal McMurray (18.9) and Ethan Chargois (13.2), while Feron Hunt is the top rebounder (7.1), and Jimmy Whitt Jr. leads the team in assists (4.4).

Leading the Pack…
Coach Dan Hurley enters his first season at the helm after he became the 19th head coach in the history of UConn men's basketball on March 22, 2018. Prior to his hiring, Hurley spent two seasons at Wagner College and six at the University of Rhode Island, and owns a collegiate coaching record of 153- 105 (.593). He is coming off two consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances and last season was named the Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year.
