UConn Caps Non-Conference Slate against Defending Champs in Saturday Matinee

STORRS, Conn. – Wrapping up 2018 and closing out the non-conference portion of the schedule, UConn men's basketball (9-3) will travel to New York City for a matchup with defending NCAA Champion and old Big East rival Villanova (8-4 ) on Saturday, Dec. 22 at Madison Square Garden. The 12:30 p.m. tip-off will be broadcast on CBS.

Leading the Pack…
Coach Dan Hurley enters his first season at the helm after he became the 19th head coach in the history of UConn men's basketball on March 22, 2018. Prior to his hiring, Hurley spent two seasons at Wagner College and six at the University of Rhode Island, and owns a collegiate coaching record of 153- 105 (.593). He is coming off two consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances and last season was named the Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year.
