Huskies, Wildcats Prepared to Battle it Out in Sunday Matinee

HARTFORD, Conn. – Riding in on a three-game win streak, the UConn men's basketball team will face its third Power-5 conference opponent of the season, playing host to the Arizona Wildcats on Sunday, Dec. 2 at the XL Center in Hartford, Conn. The contest, which will be broadcast nationally on ESPN2, is scheduled for a 1 p.m. tip.

Opponent and Series History…
- UConn leads the all-time series against Arizona, 5-1. The Wildcats lone victory in the series took place in last season's matchup, as the Huskies fell, 73-58, in Tuscon.
- The Wildcats (5-2) enter Sunday afternoon's contest following their 30-point shellacking of Georgia Southern, 100-70. Arizona's two losses came at the hands of two Top-10 opponents (Gonzaga and Auburn) during the Maui Invitational.
- Arizona is led in scoring by sophomore guard Brandon Randolph (16.9). Junior Chase Jeter is the Wildcats' top rebounder (7.6), while freshman Brandon Williams leads in assists (4.4).

Leading the Pack…
Coach Dan Hurley enters his first season at the helm after he became the 19th head coach in the history of UConn men's basketball on March 22, 2018. Prior to his hiring, Hurley spent two seasons at Wagner College and six at the University of Rhode Island, and owns a collegiate coaching record of 153- 105 (.593). He is coming off two consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances and last season was named the Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year.
