Huskies and Mustangs Square Off On Saturday

EAST HARTFORD, Conn. - The UConn football team welcomes SMU to town on Saturday, Nov. 10 at noon at Pratt and Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field. The game can be viewed on ESPN3 or the WatchESPN app. You can also find the game on 97-9 ESPN Hartford or on the Tunein app.

The Huskies are 0-4 all-time against the Mustangs with the first meeting between the two programs coming in 1989.
UConn traveled to SMU last season and lost 49-28. Aaron McLean hauled in a career-high 122 yards on five receptions and scored a 64-yard touchdown. Bryant Shirreffs threw for 408 yards and two touchdowns.
RUNNING DOWN RECORDS
UConn QB David Pindell has racked up 934 rushing yards in his career, the most in UConn single-season history for a QB. The senior quarterback passed Pete Petrillo, who rushed for 676 yards as a QB in
1967, with a 120-yard rushing game against UMass. Pindell is approaching the top-10 in single season history for net yards of total offense with 2436 yards in 2018. Pindell is chasing Dan Orlovsky who holds the single-season record with 3444 yards of total
offense in 2003.
Pindell earned American Athletic Conference honor roll recognition after rushing for a career-high 197 yards and two touchdowns at No. 21 USF.
Pindell has already recorded a 100-yard rushing game on five occasions this season. He is the first UConn quarterback in the FBS era to notch multiple 100-yard rushing games in the same season
Pindell is the only American Conference quarterback to rank in the top-5 in rushing, averaging 102.9 yards per game and is fourth in total offense averaging 269.8.

The Huskies are one of just 13 teams in FBS to have multiple games with a pair of 100-yard rushers in the same contest.
