Glynn Named to 2009 Cape Cod All-Star Game

STORRS, Conn. - Elliot Glynn of the University of Connecticut baseball team was named to the 2009 Under Armor Cape Cod Baseball League All-Star Game set to be played on Thursday night at Fenway Park.
Glynn, who will be playing for the Eastern Division in the All-Star Game, is 3-1 with an ERA of 1.10 this summer with the Orleans Firebirds. He has struck out 25 batters and walked just six in six appearances and five starts. The Firebirds are 17-14-1 at the break.
Glynn led the Huskies during the 2009 season with an overall record of 5-4 and a 4.76 ERA. He made 12 starts for UConn, while striking out 58 batters in 73.2 innings of work.
Thursday's game is set to begin at 7:05 p.m. and will be broadcast on the New England Sports Network (NESN). Tickets are general admission and cost $10 and can be purchased through the Red Sox Box Office or by calling 1-617-REDSOX9.
Gates open at 3:00 p.m. with a Home Run Derby prior to the All-Star Game beginning at 5:15 p.m.
