Malinowski Hitting Hot In The NECBL

UConn catcher Steven Malinowski (Kensington, Conn.) is on a hot streak for the Manchester Silkworms this summer. Since June 28, Malinowski is hitting .341 with four doubles and six RBIs. He has hit safely in 10 of his last 14 games.
Malinowski joined the Huskies for his first season in 2005 after playing two seasons for Wake Forest. At the plate, Malinowski went 16-62 (.258) with 12 RBIs and behind the plate he recorded 106 putouts with only one error.
