Spillane increased the Eagles lead to 5-0 at the 13:47 mark and Boston College took that lead into the locker room.
UConn scored first in the third period, with junior Katherine Van Deveire (Brandon, Manitoba) tallying her first goal of the season on the power play 5:28 into the stanza. She was assisted by junior Leslie Hurlburt (Markham, Ontario) and freshman Kristen Russell (Dauphin, Manitoba) on the goal. Boston College closed out the scoring at the 17:30 mark of the third stanza on a Meghan Fardelmann goal.
