The UConn Division of Athletics announced that Tori Untiet has been named Senior Associate Athletic Director for Development as announced by Director of Athletics David Benedict in May of 2024.
Untiet recently concluded her fourth year at her alma mater and 14th year in athletics during the 2023-24 year.Â
She most recently served in the role of interim Senior Associate Athletic Director for Development for the Huskies since March of 2023. Her responsibilities include running a comprehensive fundraising and development operation for UConn's Athletics Department, serving as a member of the Athletics Executive Team and Foundation Senior Advancement Team, and driving strategy for strategic projects and advancement priorities in collaboration with university and foundation leadership.
Since joining the UConn development office in April of 2020 as the Associate Athletic Director for Development, she led the annual fund to surpass $10 million in dollars raised while consistently growing donors for athletics. She has been a senior leader on the athletic development team, which raised a record-breaking amount in 2022-23 with $27,709,639 raised from over 7,200 donors.
She has also served in the role of secondary sport administrator for women's basketball since the 22-23 season and is a sport-specific fundraising liaison for the football, women's soccer, and softball programs.
Before her return to Storrs, Untiet was the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Development at Yale. She joined Yale in 2013 as an Assistant Director of Athletic Development, was promoted to Director of Development, Assistant Athletic Director in 2016 and then rose to Senior Associate Athletic Director in 2019. During her time, she had oversight of all facets of the fundraising efforts for Yale Athletics including capital project, endowment, major gifts, and annual fund.Â
A former member of the UConn lacrosse team and team captain, Untiet graduated in 2007 with a business degree and earned her MBA in 2010.
A native of Bel Air, Maryland, Untiet and her husband Matt, a former UConn baseball player, have two children, Reese and Cooper.Â
