2015: Appeared in 21 matches, earning 12 starts…helped the UConn defense record ten shutouts for a 0.90 goals against average and an undefeated, 10-0 season at home…scored the first goal of her career, the game-winner, on senior day against SMU (Oct. 25).
2014: Played in all 24 games, starting 22 matches at defensive midfielder...part of a UConn defense that recorded 11 shutouts and a 0.87 team GAA...recorded her first career point with an assist vs. No. 5 Florida State (Sept. 18)...helped the Huskies win The American Championship, playing all 290 minutes in the tournament as part of a unit that did not allow a goal.
2013: Saw action in 18 games for the Huskies including five starting opportunities... helped the defense pitch seven shutouts and contributed to a UConn defense that finished with a 1.46 goals against average.
2012: Appeared in 16 contests her freshman season and started in 11... helped guide the Huskies to a 3-0 shutout over Maine as she played 41 minutes...named to the 2013-14 American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team.
Before UConn: Butler is a 5-8 athlete that can play both midfield or forward for the Huskies coming out of Rock Tavern, N.Y... Played on Washingtonville's varsity team from 2006-2011 assisting the squad to four division titles and three section titles... Butler proved her versatility on the field as she was named Most Valuable Defender in 2009, Most Valuable Midfielder in 2010 and Most Valuable Forward in 2011... She was captain her senior year and was named to the All-State Second Team and All-Section Team en route to leading the team to Section and Division Championships... Butler, who was in the top ten percent of her class and a member of the National Honor Society, earned Scholar All-American in 2011.
Personal: Brianna Mary is the daughter of Dennis and Lorraine Butler... Has one brother, Eric ... An allied health sciences major.
