Vince Stalletti returns for his sixth season as an assistant coach with the UConn men’s hockey program in 2025–26. Stalletti’s responsibilities include leading the team’s player development, working with the goaltenders, video coaching pre-scout and analysis, assisting with the penalty kill, and recruiting.
Since joining the Huskies, Stalletti has helped establish UConn as a consistent presence among the nation’s top goaltending programs. Under his guidance, UConn saw Darion Hanson record the most single-season wins in program history (20), and the 2024–25 team post a program-best 23 victories. That same season, UConn made its first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance, advancing to the Regional Final.
The Huskies also reached the Hockey East Championship game in both 2022 and 2025. Goaltender Callum Tung set a new program record for save percentage in Hockey East play (.933), and three UConn goaltenders have signed NHL entry-level contracts during Stalletti’s tenure beginning in 2020—Tomas Vomacka (Nashville Predators), Callum Tung (New York Rangers), and Arsenii Sergeev (Calgary Flames). In addition, Ethan Haider signed an AHL deal with the Milwaukee Admirals (AHL Affiliate of the Nashville Predators).
Prior to UConn, Stalletti served as an assistant coach at UMass Dartmouth from 2016 to 2019, working with the defensemen, goaltenders, and penalty kill. During his time there, the Corsairs made two conference finals appearances, producing an All- American, Conference Player of the Year, Goaltender of the year, and one goaltender breaking the program’s save percentage, shutouts and shutout streak records.
Stalletti played youth and junior hockey for the Philadelphia Jr. Flyers before attending Johnson & Wales University, where he graduated summa cum laude with dual Bachelor’s Degrees in Finance and Business Administration. Stalletti earned his Master of Business Administration from Boston College in 2018.
