2024-25 (as a sophomore): Was a rotation regular, one of four Huskies to appear in all 35 games…made 12 spot starts and scored in double-figures a total of seven times…shot an efficient 54.5 percent from the field and hit at a 36.4 percent clip from 3-point range…scored 5.4 points with 2.4 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 17.8 minutes per game…scored a career-high 16 twice (vs. Memphis on Nov. 25 and vs. UMES on Nov. 30)…scored at least 14 points in three BIG EAST games.
2023-24 (as a freshman): Saw time in 37 contests, increasing his role as the season went along...averaged 2.5 points and 1.2 rebounds in 8.9 minutes per game...shot 47.4 percent from the field, blocked six shots and had five steal...scored a career-high 11 points and went 3-of-4 from 3-point range at DePaul (Feb. 14)...scored 17 points across the BIG EAST Tournament Semifinals and Championship, going for eight against St. John’s (March 15) and nine on 3-of-4 shooting from deep against Marquette (March 16)...grabbed a career-high four rebounds in the NCAA Tournament First Round vs. Stetson (March 22)
Before College: Comes to UConn after a stellar four-year career at Garfield High School under Coach Brendan Roy… Won Washington State 3A State Championships and Metro League Conference titles as a freshman and a senior… As a freshman, averaged 12.3 ppg in state tournament… Sophomore season was cut short due to Covid-19… As a junior, led Garfield to a 25-1 record, 17-0 in conference play and a Metro League title… Named First Team All-State and First Team All-Metro… As a senior, averaged 19.2 ppg, 7.6 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 2.1 blocks, 1.4 steals and shot 56.0 percent as he led team to a 25-2 record and another 3A State Championship… Named First Team All-Metro, Metro League MVP, and First Team All-State… Also played for Seattle Rotary on the AAU circuit...One of five true freshmen on UConn’s 2023-24 roster… Consensus Top 70 recruit.
Personal Information: Born Feb. 6, 2005… Son of Sherrill Jones and Lodrick Stewart… Dad was a two-time state champion and scored over 2,000 points at Rainier Beach HS (Washington), then played at USC and had pro career overseas… Has a younger brother, Jamari.
