Paul Wettemann III is in his 10th year with the UConn basketball program, and his third as the Director of Basketball Administration.
Wettemann handles administrative and athletics compliance policies within the athletic department and the university. He deals with critical budget preparations, team travel arrangements, and the day-to-day operations of the program. He is also involved with the organization of practices as well as other events with the team. Additionally, Wettemann serves as a liaison between other departments in athletics and the Men’s Basketball Program.
A native of Guilford, CT, Wettemann has worn many hats during his time with the UConn program, working his way up from a student manager as an undergraduate, to graduate head manager, to program coordinator, to assistant director of men’s basketball operations, to his current position.
Wettemann graduated from UConn in 2018 with a bachelor of science degree and earned his master’s degree in Sport Management in May 2020. Prior to UConn, Wettemann graduated from Guilford High School in 2014.
Wettemann married his wife Danieka in August of 2024.
