Andre Berry is in his first season as the Player Development Assistant at UConn. Berry previously spent three seasons as a graduate assistant at Connecticut following his playing career. In his new role he will support the Director of Player Development and coaching staff with a variety of duties including roles in practice, recruiting, video analysis and scouting.
Berry was on the support staff for both the 2023 and 2024 national championship teams. As a graduate assistant he assisted the coaching staff with on-court practice and individual skill sessions, handled administrative tasks and played a role in opponent scouting.
Prior to his shift into coaching, Berry played for Dan Hurley at Rhode Island from 2015-18, helping the Rams to a pair of NCAA Tournaments, the 2017 A-10 Tournament title and the 2018 A-10 regular season crown. He went on to play professionally for four seasons in Spain, Finland and Ireland.
Berry is a native of West Hempstead, N.Y. and graduated from Rhody in 2018 with a degree in communications before earning a masters in sports management from UConn in 2024.
