Garrett Scott is in his first year as an offensive graduate assistant at UConn. He spent the 2015 season as a GA at Hawaii with the defensive backs and from 2013-14 at Northern Iowa – working with the safeties.
In 2013, Northern Iowa posted a 9-5 record and advanced to the second round of the NCAA FCS tournament. Scott spent the 2014 season on the same staff as current Husky offensive coordinator Frank Verducci.
Scott played strong safety at Northern Iowa from 2008-12 and was a three-year starter. He earned All-Missouri Valley Conference honors as a senior and made 254 career tackles with seven interceptions. The team advanced to the NCAA FCS quarterfinals in his junior year of 2011.
Scott earned a bachelor’s degree in movement and exercise science from Northern Iowa in 2013 an also has a master’s from Northern Iowa in the same field.
