While at UConn: Played in 15 games with five starts for UConn as a junior college transfer, averaging 1.7 points and 2.7 rebounds... Showed considerable promise in games where he received significant minutes... Used the 2018 spring and summer to transform his body, dropping some 25 pounds and shedding body fat in an effort to have an impactful senior season... Expected to provide a big-man presence under the basket for the Huskies, but has the agility and shooting touch to score in a variety of ways... Named to Athletic Director’s Academic Honor Roll in Spring, 2018.
As a Junior in 2017-18: Scored 26 points and grabbed 40 rebounds in 15 games... Had five points and five rebounds against No. 18 Arizona in Tucson and six points and four rebounds against Syracuse in the Jimmy V Classic at Madison Square Garden... Had a combined 15 rebounds in UConn’s first two games.
As a Sophomore in 2016-17 (at Chipola College): Appeared in 29 games for Chipola College (Marianna, Fla.), starting 15, and averaged 10.9 points, 8.2 rebounds, had a .526 overall field goal percentage, shot .661 from the foul line and contributed 15 steals to a 22-8 season... Selected Second Team All-Panhandle Conference... Earned associate’s degree.
As a Freshman in 2015-16 (at South Carolina): Appeared in 24 games as a true freshman, averaging 1.1 points, 1.9 rebounds, with an overall field goal percentage of .565... Appeared in 11 Southeastern Conference games... Helped Gamecocks to a 25-9 season.
Before College: Spent senior year at St. Francis Academy in Baltimore, averaging 13.0 points and 9.0 rebounds... Ranked as 21st power forward in the country and a four-star prospect by ESPN.com... Played AAU ball with the Atlanta Celtics.
