2017 (Sophomore Season): Made 12 starts at designated player, appearing in 27 games total...Hit .178 with a home run and seven RBI in 45 plate appearances...Team-high nine pinch-hitting opportunities throughout the season...Went 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBI in victory over Florida A&M on Feb. 25...In win over Northern Kentucky on March 4, went 2-for-3 with a double, RBI and run scored.

2016 (Freshman Season): Appeared in 22 games, making seven starts as designated player…Went 5-for-30 at the plate with a home run, two doubles and nine RBI…Went 1-for-2 with a double and three RBI against North Florida on Feb. 14…Hit a three-run, pinch-hit home run against East Carolina on April 17, going 2-for-3 with a run scored in the win over the Pirates.

Before UConn: Smith has played three years of softball for head coach Nicole Lowenstein at Havre De Grace High School, earning three All-Harford County First Team selections. In addition, Smith was an All-Upper Chesapeake Bay Athletic Conference First Team member and hit .500 with six long balls in the 2014 season. She has led Harford County and the UCBAC in home runs over the past three seasons with 21 total.

In the classroom, Smith is an honor roll student and was the recipient of the Minds in Motion Award during her high school career.
