Before UConn: Came to Connecticut as a graduate student with one season of eligibility remaining, following four years and three basketball seasons at Cornell University. Sat out his junior season (2013-14) following off-season shoulder surgery before returning as a senior... Voted First Team All-Ivy League as both a sophomore and a senior, the latter time unanimously. Voted the Ivy League Rookie of the Year as a freshman... Twice named Ivy League Player of the Week... Finalist for CollegeInsider.com National Defensive Player of the Year... At Cornell, played 85 college games, starting 78, and has scored 1,065 points, grabbed 608 rebounds, and recorded 126 steals. Tied a Cornell record with 18 career double-doubles.
As a Graduate Student in 2015-16: Started every game for UConn and scored 442 points (12.3 ppg, 3rd on the team), grabbed 186 rebounds (5.2 rpg, 2nd on the team), led the team in field goals made (170) and shot 57.2 percent overall. Led team in charges drawn with 27 and was second in blocks with 31... Named to the AAC Championship All-Tournament team after averaging 14.0 points and 4.0 rebounds in the Huskies’ three wins, including a 13-point performance vs. Memphis in the title game... Scored six points and added four rebounds in the Huskies’ NCAA Tournament First-Round win over Colorado (March 17)... Arguably the Huskies’ most consistent player, leading the team in scoring in 10 games (tied for most on the team), scoring in double figures in 28 games... Named to American Conference Weekly Honor Roll on Jan. 25... Began his UConn career with a double-double (17 points, 10 rebounds) against Maine on Nov. 13, the 19th double-double of his college career...Named to 2015-16 American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team.
As a Senior in 2014-15 (at Cornell): Started all 30 games and led Cornell in scoring (16.8), rebounding (8.5), steals (1.3), and blocks (1.8), recording 11 double-doubles... First Cornell player to score 500 points and grab 250 rebounds in a season... Ivy League leader and sixth nationally in defensive rebounding (7.53)... Had 12 games of at least 20 points and three games of at least 15 rebounds... Ranked in the Top 100 nationally in 11 different categories... Voted NABC All-District Second Team and picked by Cornell Daily Sun as Cornell Male Athlete of the Year.

As a Sophomore in 2012-13 (at Cornell): Started all 27 Cornell games, averaging 11.5 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.9 steals, and 1.9 blocks, shooting 48 percent from the floor and 79 percent from the free throw line... Led Ivy League in defensive rebounding (5.5)... Had 18 double-figure scoring games and four double-doubles.
As a Freshman in 2011-12 (at Cornell): Ivy League Freshman of the Year after winning Rookie of the Week five times... Played 28 games, starting 21, and averaged 8.9 ppg, 6.1 rpg, 1.3 steals and 1.7 blocks... Set Cornell freshman records for rebounds (170) and blocks (48).
