Bio
While at UConn: After sitting out the 2015-16 season as a transfer from Virginia Commonwealth, appeared in just the first four games for the Huskies in 2016-17, all as a starting forward, before suffering a season-ending torn left anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), with a medial meniscus tear, requiring knee surgery... At the time of the injury, was UConn’s leading scorer (16.7) and second-leading rebounder (5.7) through the first three games... Has been dedicated to healing and rehabilitation since the surgery and is expected to be 100 percent for the 2017-18 season.
As a Redshirt Sophomore in 2016-17: Scored double figures in each of UConn’s first three games before suffering a torn left ACL with 12:30 remaining in the first half against Oklahoma State in the first game of the Maui Jim Maui Invitational in Hawaii... Averaged 13.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and had .488 field goal percentage in the limited season... Had season-high 19 points and 7 rebounds in season opener vs. Wagner.
As a Sophomore in 2015-16: Sat out season as per NCAA transfer rules.
As a Freshman in 2014-15 (at VCU): Played in 36 games for VCU, starting six, and averaging 18.5 minutes per game... Averaged 6.6 points and 3.0 rebounds per game, shooting .343 from the floor and .709 from the foul line... Hit 32 three-pointers, fourth on the team... Scored in double figures (11) vs. Tennessee in his first collegiate
game... Had 11 double-figure games, including a season-high 21 points against Maryland-Eastern Shore... Named to the 2014-15 Atlantic 10 Preseason All-Rookie Team.
Before College: A Top 50 recruit while attending The Phelps School (Malvern, Pa.)... Attended John F. Kennedy High School in the Bronx for two years before transferring to he Phelps School... One of just three players in the country invited to attend the Kevin Durant, LeBron James, and Chris Paul Academies in the summer following his senior year.
